Report by Bill Pritchard for Wrestlezone.com
Randy Orton comes out and enters the steel cage surrounding the ring, and he says Seth Rollins is one dumb bastard. He says banning the RKO won’t help because he doesn’t need it; Orton says inflicting pain is his greatest strength. Orton says he wants to make this slow and agonizing, then he describes how he will take Rollins apart and hurt him badly. Rollins comes out and says Orton has an anger problem, but Orton says he has a Rollins problem and he’s going to make sure it goes away. Rollins says he can play this game better than anyone, and he is that much better than Orton, so it doesn’t matter what threats Orton makes. He says Orton should get everything out of his system, but Orton says that’s a good idea and he will get the RKO’s out of his system. Orton says he is going to RKO every son of a bitch backstage, then he will get Rollins too before the night is over.
Dean Ambrose vs Luke Harper
Ambrose hits Harper a few times and takes him down with a suicide dive, then he takes the commentary table apart but Harper whips him in the crowd. They slug it out in the aisles and the match gets thrown out, and they continue to fight onto the stage. Harper slams Ambrose into the minitron, then he tries to powerbomb Ambrose off the stage. Ambrose floats over and goes for a DDT, but Harper shoves him off the stage and retreats.
Result – No Contest
WTF!! Come on.
Seth Rollins is shown backstage with J&J, and they get scared by the Prime Time Players, who mock Rollins about getting RKOed. They keep moving and run into Triple H, who says he hopes things are fine because he doesn’t like seeing his champion sweat. HHH says everything is fine, and they say Kane won’t be a problem either. Rollins asks about Orton and says he needs more security, but HHH says it’s only one guy and walks away.
Lucha Dragons vs The New Day (w/ Xavier Woods)
Kalisto takes Big E down and hits him a few times, then E shoves him in the corner and makes the tag. Cara takes Kofi down with a corkscrew armdrag, then Kofi kicks him in the face and goes for a tornado DDT off the ropes. Cara counters with a cradle suplex for two, then he hits the ropes but Kofi ducks and Woods provides a distraction. Kofi kicks Cara into the commentary table, then E punches him in the corner and goes for a suplex.
Cara floats over but E turns and clotheslines him, then we get back from a break to see Kalisto get a near fall and a seated headscissors DDT before Kofi gets thrown outside. Cara tags in and he and Kalisto both hit moonsaults from the turnbuckles, then everyone is slow to get up and the ref starts a count. Woods is hiding under the ring apron and holds Cara’s leg, and stops him from making the count and Kofi and E roll back in to win.
The celebration is short lived as Randy Orton runs out and RKO’s Woods and Kofi, then he dares Big E to come back, but E walks away.
Winners – The New Day
BP: I like the way they are turning The New Day heel. They remind me of Right To Censor a bit.
Curtis Axel vs Fandango
Fandango throws a few punches and hits a sitout suplex, then he hits Last Dance for the win.
Winner – Fandango
A waste.
Triple H comes to the ring and says last year The Authority was at a crossroads, and they were looking for the face of WWE. He says they should agree that Seth Rollins is taking that mantle, but now it’s time to find the next Seth Rollins. HHH talks about Tough Enough returning, then Kane comes out and tells HHH he’s been trying to get a hold of him. Rollins storms out and calls Kane a coward, then they bicker and HHH says that’s enough. HHH vouches for Kane and says he is making him ‘Guardian of the Gate’ at Extreme Rules, and he says if anyone wants to get involved in the steel cage match this Sunday. Rollins says he can’t believe Kane is being rewarded, but HHH tells them to get on the same page, and Rollins reluctantly shakes Kane’s hand.
BP: That segment was odd, but I liked the twist that HHH is favoring Kane a bit. The Tough Enough announcement was a rehash from the earlier announcement, but I liked HHH saying they will find the ‘next Rollins.’
Triple H catches up with Kane backstage and says he is one of the toughest guys he knows, but now he is a corporate man with responsibilities. Kane says he is still that same demon and he will prove it, and walks away. Triple H comments to Rollins that his title doesn’t make him the man, but standing up to everyone trying to take it away does. HHH books him in a match against Dolph Ziggler, and Rollins says he is not the future, he’s the present and he will go prove it tonight.

He says Show has no choice on Sunday, but he will be the last man standing, and you can bo-lieve that!

Sheamus tells the ref and rings the bell, then he Brogue Kicks Zack and says he could make the cover right now. He says there’s no fun in that and Zack deserves more than a five second match, and he stomps him in the corner. United States Championship
Kane vs John Cena (c)

Winner – John Cena
Damien Mizdow (w/ Summer Rae) vs The Miz
Miz goes for a few near falls before stomping Sandow in the corner, then Sandow hits a breaker combo and a swinging DDT for two. Sandow escapes, then Summer rakes Sandow eyes behind the ref’s back and Miz hits a SCF for the win.
Winner – The Miz
Miz tries to brag about his win, but Randy Orton runs out and RKOs him.
BP: That was actually a great ending all around. I think everyone was thinking Sandow winning was a foregone conclusion, and glad they went the other way. I think Sandow will get more sympathy ‘finding his character’ and Summer will get some heat. This feud still has legs and I appreciate the surprise here.
