We new something wasn't right with her. Lots of water drinking and wouldn't eat. Took her to the vets yesterday and did blood work and she has renal failure. So, they are keeping her a few days and trying to get her values up with meds and IV fluids.
I hope she will bounce back so she can come home. We had a few cats that had this too and we we're able to keep them alive and happy for a few years. Hopefully, we can with Paisley.

Thanks. She seemed more alert last night when we visited. Some of her values are still down but hopefully they will rebound. We'll here more later today. We had a few cats that had this and we had to do fluids and meds and they live a happy few more years but with Renal Failure, they can go anytime.

My wife called with an update. It doesn't look good but we're giving Paisley some more time for the values to get better. If not we're going to bring her home and have some time with her and then we'll have to let her go. She was a great racer in Jacksonville and we are lucky to have watch her from a pup to a racing greyhound to a 45mph couch potatoe.

No change in the blood work. We'll be taking her home tonight.

Paisley is home and we have all her meds and fluids to keep the treatment going.

So far the meds and fluids are working. She seems like her old self.

Had to let her go yesterday. Run free at the rainbow bridge.
