All eyes are back on Denver again. The Broncos have formally requested an interview with Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak for their head coaching job, according to ESPN and the Denver Post. That should not come as a surprise but nonetheless must leave the Ravens bracing for the worst.
On Sunday, Raven Nation breathed a sigh of relief when the team announced via its web site that Kubiak would return for a second season with the Ravens rather than pursue the handful of open head coaching positions.
Coach John Harbaugh went so far as to say it was "music to my ears," at his news conference on Tuesday.
But Denver threw a potential huge monkey wrench into the situation when the Broncos sacked coach John Fox. That left a coaching vacancy where the GM (John Elway) is Kubiak's close friend, and where Kubiak spent 20 years as a player and later as a coach.
raven: snowstorm yesterday and it took me 4 hours to get home. It's only 8 miles from work to home. So may people abandoned their cars. Idiots.
